Passing through the beech forests and the small village of Diö by the river Helgeå, you will find Sweden’s oldest furniture workshop, Gemla Fabrikers.
Founded in and characterised by inventiveness as well as stubbornness, said to be typical of the region of Småland, Gemla describes itself as ‘picky, inventive and stubborn’ when it comes to work.
Combining the purest forms of bentwood with a contemporary expression, Vilda is a classic chair in a modern design, where the natural bentwood meets the vegetable-tanned leather.
A close and longtime collaborator, Great Dane and Gemla work together to bring the best of modern Swedish design to Australian homes.

VILDA 2 is made in solid bent beech or ash, backrest swaddled in vegetable tanned leather.
Wooden seat dressed in tooling leather in matching color.
Additional soft padded seat with upholstery leather on request. A slight difference in texture and color occurs between tooling leather and upholstery leather.
VILDA fryst vatten offered in different versions and color combinations.
