Specially modified to improve accuracy and ease of use. The relaskop is a hand-sized, ruggedly-constructed tree measuring instrument. The instrument allows for five measurements with one compact piece of equipment&#;basal area, tree diameter, tree height, slope/vertical angles and range/distance. Our relaskops are modified by us to facilitate ease of use in the field. The eyepiece is drilled larger, and clear windows replace frosted windows for better lighting. This series is available in 28x, 24x, and 20x to cover most all job requirements at an economical price. The top cover, body, and base are constructed of metal for the best in robust construction. (Specification include: Telescope, Automatic Compensator, Horizontal Circle, Endless Tangent and Rubber Covered Knob.)

SPIEGEL RELASKOP
The most popular hand-held forestry instrument.
The Relaskops are principally known in connection with angle-count sampling (ACS), a method which determines grundläggande area density in forests by a simple counting method.
The Relaskop automatically corrects for any inclination in the line of sight, making it possible to easily find the stand basal area in square meters per hectare either at breast height (m above the ground) or any other height.
The Relaskops offer quite a few other measurement applications in practical and scientific forestry.
For example:
- Relaskops are the principle instrument of "variable plot sampling", which has the special advantage of selecting a basal-area weighted leverans. In addition, the appropriate stem numbers per hectare can be derived from the ACS selection sample.
- Measurement of total tree height, or heights to particular upper stem ements of upper stem diameters at particular heights.
- Determining the horizontal distance, with automatic correction for the angle of inclination.
